Letters to myself: 10

Dear JAC,

I am so proud of you! want to tell you that there is nothing wrong with waiting to find the people that deserve to be in your life. As it relates to your current situation, I know you don’t understand why this is happening to you, but I know you understand what is happening to you. Get ready for more years of this and to not completely un-bottle and get past the feelings until you’re about 29 years old (29 years young). You’re so smart and so brave that you have a self preservation filter around you and I know you wholeheartedly believe that you will have to take care of yourself for the rest of your life. Also, you don’t get to use the word “No” a lot right now because you’re taught that that word is a sign of disrespect, but just kNOw that it is a sign of respect and healing to YOU even if if the adults in your life don’t think so. YOU WILL BE OK! iPROMISE that people who love you unconditionally are coming. You will receive the love you dish out to everyone else. Always remember that something good happened today (each day). The tears that you’re shedding now will water the bloom that is to come. Your value is not wrapped up in your talent or what you do for others , but who you are and the character/integrity that you have! You got this!
